Western Sydney Creative is actively acquiring artworks into the Art Collection.Artwork may be acquired for the Art Collection through purchase, commission, donation, transfer of title, bequests and gifts as defined in the University'sGifts and Benefit Policy.

The generosity of donors is greatly appreciated. However, we can only accept gifts of artworks that are compatible withour Art Collection Development and Access policyand are intended for display.

Our Art Collection Development and Access policy is framed by theWestern Sydney Creative Arts and Culture Decadal Strategy 2019-2029and is aligned with Western Sydney Creative’s exhibition program, gaps within the existing art collection and the University’s research commitments.

If you are considering donating an artwork, please send an image of the work, together with the name of the artist, the title of the work, its date and provenance toartcollection@westernsydney.edu.au

Artworks may be donated via the Cultural Gifts Program, which entitles the donor to a tax deduction for the market value of the gift. For more information of the Australian Government’s Cultural Gifts program visit

All acquisitions must go through our approvals process. The Senior Curator will make recommendations regarding all acquisitions to the Western Sydney Creative Advisory Committee for endorsement.
